Frequently Asked Questions.

• An acceptable, valid driver's license issued from your country of residence must be presented at the time of rental. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the driver's license is not issued in the United States and United States territories and in a language other than English, an International Driver's Permit may be required. In all cases, a valid driver's license issued from your home country must be provided, whether or not you possess an International Driver's Permit. You will not be allowed to rent a Go! Car Rental vehicle with only an International Driver's Permit.
• By law in St. Thomas, drivers who do not have United States driver's license are required to purchase a driver's permit valid for 30 days at Bureau of Motor Vehicle for USD 15.00. You can check with the location if they have driver's permit available to sell for USD 20.00 or alternatively from Monday to Friday we can take you to the Bureau of Motor Vehicle office where you can purchase the permit.

• Liability Insurance Supplement(LIS)
  Liability Insurance Supplement (LIS) is primary protection, which provides the first USD $25,000.00 of combined bodily injury and/or property damage protection for each occurrence.
  In the US Virgin Islands up to USD 100,000.00 of Uninsured / Underinsured Motorist Protection is included with the LIS coverage.

• Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)
  LDW is an optional service which, if accepted or included in your rate, waives your financial liability for damage to or loss of the Go! Car Rental vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

• Theft Protection (TP)
  Theft Protection removes the driver’s responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of theft.
  If TP is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of the car.
  If TP is accepted, the customer is only responsible for the limited amount which is noted in the spreadsheet.
• Tire and Windshield Coverage (TW)
  Tire and Windshield Coverage provides cover against the consequences of damages on tires, windshield, side windows back window, rims, taillights, halogens, headlights, reflectors and rear-view mirrors.
  If TW is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of damages on tires, windshield, side windows, back window, rims, taillights, halogens, headlights, reflectors and rear-view mirrors.
  If TW is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amount: 0 $USD
• Theft Protection (TP)
  Theft Protection removes the drivers responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of theft.
  If TP is not accepted the customer will be held liable for the full value of the car.
  If TP is accepted, the customer is only responsible for the limited amount which is noted in the spreadsheet.
• Tire and Windscreen Coverage (TW)
  Tire and Windscreen Coverage provides cover against the consequences of damages on tires, windscreen, side windows back window, rims, taillights, halogens, headlights, reflectors and rear view mirrors.

  If TW is accepted, customer is only responsible for the following amount: 0 $USD

• Certain accounts have agreements with Go! Car Rental which permit rentals to young renters. Renters must present a valid identification at the time of rental and additional fees may apply. Please review your account's policies to verify age exceptions.
• Acceptable Authorized Operators age 25 and older are automatically covered on the Rental Agreement.
• Authorized Operators are: - The employer, employee or fellow employee of renter on company business, (when booking includes company Corporate Discount Number).
• Authorized Operators do not have to be present at time of rental.
• There are no fees for Authorized Operators.

The minimum age for Go! Car Rental rentals in St. Thomas is 25 years old without an additional Age Differential Charge. It is possible to rent selected vehicles groups from 20 years old with an additional Age Differential Charge of $19.95/day.

• Individuals not automatically covered on the Rental Agreement as Authorized Operators noted above may be signed on as an "Additional Authorized Operator" (AAO). AAO's must be present and may be signed on to the rental agreement at the time of rental or during the rental at any US corporate location.
• Renter and each AAO must be present to sign Rental Agreement, present an acceptable credit card or debit card (if renting city accepts debit cards) in their own name, or a current round-trip ticket (air, train or bus), show valid driver's license, and must be a minimum of 20 years of age. For those 20 through 24 the location's age differential will apply.
• Additional Authorized Operators must present a valid major credit card.
• The additional fee is $ 13.50 per day with a maximum of $ 189.00 per rental and per Additional Authorized Operator.

• Changing a booking can be changed up to 24 hours before the start of the rental without any charges (on availability).
• Cancellation A booking can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the rental begins. In the event of cancellation, the payment in advance already made towards the rental shall be paid back subject to a cancellation charge, which will be withheld and shall be in the amount of the rental charge (including any extras and charges) for a maximum of 3 rental days.
• No-show In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected or not collected at the agreed time the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.

• Return of the Car. You agree to return the car to us in the same condition you received it, ordinary wear and tear excepted, on the date, at the time and to the location specified in the Rental Contract. If you wish to extend any rental you must contact us at (340) 690-9159 or use a method, we approve to request the extension before your return date. We may or may not grant an extension or decline to grant it for the entire period you request, in our sole discretion. If you do not return the car to the location specified in the Rental Agreement, as and when required under the Rental Agreement, you may be subject to penalties. If we do grant an extension a different or higher rate may be applied to the extension period and a service fee may also apply.
• Where You’ll Return the Car. The car must be returned to the agreed return location as specified on the Rental Contract. If you return the car to a different location from the agreed return location without our permission, you agree to pay an unauthorized return location fee specified by us.
• Rental Charges. You will pay for the period of time you rent the car at the rate indicated on the Rental Contract, or your applicable corporate rate. Unless otherwise indicated on the Rental Contract, the minimum charge is one day (24 hours), or a fixed fee. The daily charge applies to consecutive 24 hour periods starting at the hour and minute the rental begins or, if a calendar day is specified on the Rental Contract, each consecutive calendar day or any part of a calendar day starting on the calendar day on which the rental occurs. If you fail to comply with any conditions for special rates specified on the Rental Contract our otherwise applicable rates will be charged. You’ll pay all charges that apply to the rental for miscellaneous services and, where permitted, airport facility fees and/or concession recovery fees, vehicle license recovery fees, other fees and surcharges.
• a) You will also pay a fee of $250.00 for cleaning the car’s interior upon return if any stains, dirt, odor, or soiling attributable to your use cannot be cleaned with our standard post-rental procedures as determined by us in our sole discretion.
  
  b) If the key(s) or key fob(s) are not returned with the car, you may be charged additional fees of $275.00.
  
  c) We maintain a non-smoking fleet, including a prohibition on the use of e-cigarettes in the car. You will pay an additional charge of $250.00 if you return the car and it smells or is soiled from smoke or e-cigarette vapor.
  
  d) You and any third party to whom any rental charges are billed, such as an insurer or employer, are jointly and severally responsible for payment of all such charges. If you direct us to bill any such charges to a third party, you represent that you are authorized to do so on behalf of the third party.
  
  e) To the extent you utilize any rate/benefit discount code in association with a rental, you represent you meet the requisite criteria for utilizing such discount code. Any other use will be viewed as an unlawful use and theft of services for which Go! Car Rental can pursue legal remedies, including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, and may void any associated discounts or rental benefits.
  
  f) Go! Car Rental makes every effort to ensure that all prices and descriptions quoted on its website or elsewhere are correct and accurate. However, in the case of a manifest error or omission, Go! Car Rental reserves the right to rescind the Rental Agreement, even if we have already accepted your reservation and/or received your payment. Our liability in that event will be limited to the return of any money that you have paid with respect to the reservation. In the case of a manifest error in which we permit you to keep your reservation, we reserve the right to require that you pay the difference between the quoted price and the correct price, as confirmed in writing by Go! Car Rental after the manifest error has been discovered. A "manifest error", as the term is used in this paragraph, means, in relation to an incorrect price, a price quoted in error by Go! Car Rental which is more than 15% less than the price that would have been quoted had the mistake not been made.
• After Hours After-hours pick-up is not available.
  
  After-hours return is available. Please park the vehicle in the Go! Car Rental area and leave keys and rental agreement in the drop box located at the counter.
  
  After hour return charges (as well as optional service charges) for non-Insurance Replacement rentals, will accrue until the location reopens for business.
  
  For example, if the vehicle is returned on Monday evening at 9:00 pm when the location is closed, rental charges will accrue until Tuesday morning when the location reopens for business.
